Après Vasco da Gama et Vinhos, l'éditeur What's Your Game sortira: Madeira: Pearl of the Atlantic dont voici la couverture
et une vue du plateau (proto?):
Quelqu'un aurait-il une idée du mécanisme et quelques infos sur ce jeu?

Je ne connais pas le jeu, mais je connais l'auteur.
C'est un jeu moyen-lourd et il va s'essayer de le lancer à Essen. Je vais essayer de traduire la présentation qui est sur BGG pour vous laisser un petit aperçu.
Je l'ai appelé au Portugal pour signaler qu'il y avait cette demande sur Tric Trac, et il va essayer de laisser une explication, peut-être en anglais, et dans ce cas j'essaierai de traduire.

Madeira uses a dice mechanic. It's inovative and hopefully you'll enjoy it. The game talks about the discovery and settle in the Madeira island - the first step of the Portuguese empire.
The game covers the main aspects of the island's history, such as the relation of the society with the Portuguese crown, the economical adaptations to their needs, searching solutions for their problems. Madeira was built economically from wheat plantations then sugar and finally wine. The periods that the game cover are these ones.
Hopefully the game will come out in Essen12. It should be available in France.

The guy on the box is one of the captains of Madeira. The island was divided in 3 parts and Tristão Vaz Teixeira was one of them.

We are very happy with the results so far. The game wasn't revealed to a lot of people yet, also because it's the way the publisher wants to work.
The changes we made from last year are difficult to explain but they mainly change the way players look and interact with the game itself rather than the storyline or with the main idea, which basically remain the same. It's more like playing a game with different maps or expansions but using only one map. It's more like a feeling than an actual thing, sort of speaking
We still have the dice, the characters, the island, the foreign partners or the economic issues in the island.
As per the rules, it's not our call really. The publisher decides but, more than designers we are players and, as players we would like to publish the rules as soon as possible, maybe a couple of months before the release of the game. Hopefuly it will be possible!
Thank you again for the interest in the game and please keep with us. It really matters a lot and we really feel that each question and each small comment on the game make the difference.

This game looks quite interesting.
It works with dices but like in Troyes or other eurogames the luck factor remains low, does it ?
Will the game be available for ESSEN 2013 pre-orders with Essen Pick Up at What's your game ? Boot ?
